If you have made your decision concerning a repair or conversion job - and if we have briefly corresponded
and made sure the model you're sending is one that I accept, now it's time to print and fill out a Work Order.

It is very important that you read my Terms and Conditions thoroughly before committing to my service.  Due
to the unique nature of classic car restoration in general, it is essential that even the finest details are understood
and agreed to in advance.   The terms in my Work Order, among other things, ensure that your valuable knobs
and cosmetic pieces will be safe
because I do not allow them to be sent and thus they remain in your possession.

When a customer's unit arrives with a bent control from improper packing, it creates two major problems:  First, it
tells me that the customer thinks he knows enough not to follow my instructions - AND IS NOT WILLING TO AGREE
TO MY POLICIES.  Second, it results in the unit being sent back UNSERVICED, because I
will not do business with
someone who is unwilling to observe my necessary policies.  This means you've wasted money shipping it here,
and will waste even more money paying for return shipping if you want your damaged unit back.

At the risk of offending potential customers, the number of units arriving with damage - from customers who insist
they know how to pack their radio safely - gives me good reason to say "No, you DON'T know how to pack your
radio for guaranteed safe transit".  Thus, you must either pack it MY WAY or take your business elsewhere.

PACKING YOUR RADIO
MY WAY IS NOT A "GOOD IDEA" OR A "SUGGESTION" - IT IS A REQUIREMENT.
I WILL NOT WASTE SHOP TIME AND DELAY OTHERS' JOBS TO REPAIR DAMAGE FROM POOR PACKING.

Right here on this website is a proven safe packing technique; simply click on the "PACKING!" tab.  The
exclamation point hopefully reflects how many times this inexcusable occurrence has happened.

Completing a work order with my Terms and Conditions protects BOTH of us, and is absolutely required to
prevent any future misunderstandings between you the honest customer and me the honest shop owner.

page.  DO NOT assume you know how to pack your unit
safely, regardless of any experience you might have.

If I don't see my protective cardboard sleeve around your
unit when I open the box, I WILL SEND IT BACK TO YOU
UNSERVICED - I WON'T EVEN TAKE IT OUT OF THE BOX !

Thus, the very next thing to do is click the "Packing"
tab above and decide if you're willing to pack your unit
as shown.  If you cannot agree to do this, WE CANNOT
DO BUSINESS and you'll need to court another shop.
