Packing your unit for safe transit is THE single most important part of the job. A unit arriving with a bent or damaged control shaft is useless, until the customer can purchase a similar unit
from which to salvage a good control. Avoid this nightmare in
the first place by packing your unit MY WAY, following the
instructions and pictures below.

DON'T slip lengths of PVC pipe over the control shafts as some
suggest - this only makes them bigger targets for damage.

DON'T push styrofoam over the controls - it will not protect
them. All we want near the controls is AIR.

DON'T place a unit in peanuts without the protective sleeve,
as loose peanuts CAN damage a long, delicate control shaft.

It's okay to seal the ends of the protective sleeve to prevent
entry of peanuts, but DON'T fold the edges over - doing this
will reduce the amount of safe "air space" for the controls.

Let's do this MY WAY to ensure safe arrival of your radio!
