Besides the massive array of test gear
shown in the picture, Barry's 8 Track
Repair has something other shops don't:
NEW MOTORS for the 8 track section, and
a SPECIAL HEAD PREAMP which offers
a nice treble boost to compensate for head
wear and tape wear. Other shops DO NOT
have new motors, and they DO NOT build
a new head preamp. Both of these

When I joined the U.S. Navy in December of
1980, I enlisted to train as an Audio/Video
technician. However, my ASVAB scores were
such that I was reassigned to become an
Avionics Technician, keeping planes safe and
requiring higher general scholastic aptitude.
In keeping with this supposed aptitude, my
last day job was as a top level Avionics Te

requiring higher general scholastic aptitude.
In keeping with this supposed aptitude, my
last day job was as a top level Avionics Tech
at a licensed FAA repair station. After 5 years
of that, I'm back to "just audio please".
